How to make a great movie hero
Protagonist of a film may be the most important part of the puzzle in creating a great movie. A great director, script or setting can be ruined if the central character, the hero, is badly cast or acted. Characters in the film can be as important as the actor who is cast, with some actors rescue poor films while good actors face a challenge useless when cast as a character misconceived.
When super-hero movies were making a big comeback, Halle Berry would have been forgiven for thinking that Catwoman would be a great success, but hindsight would point to the contrary. Characterization weak and there is no story made the film a box office and critical failure of box, while Batman, Superman and Spiderman have made a success of a similar plan. So what makes the hero of a blockbuster film?
The success of a film can be attributed in large part to a well-written script, with realistic characters and a solid plot line. The hero of the film must have some, if not all of the following characteristics: pleasant, believable, sympathetic, heroic spirit, vulnerable and courageous. These traditional elements help make a film character a great hero of the film.
Many of the most excellent movie heroes are based on the main attribute of courage and heroism. Obviously, the term heroic will be evident in all movie heroes, but generally shown in the adventure, risk taking and dangerous behavior. This is summarized in the character of James Bond and Indiana Jones.
Massively different, yet representing comparable characters, the British secret agent and American archaeologist have many similarities. Bond is charismatic, smooth and charming while Jones appears a rough, brash and trying hero. Despite their superficial differences, both risk their lives for their work and trying (successfully) to seduce all the women who come through.
Although these characters appear vaguely realistic, they are fundamentally similar to the super-heroes of comic films. Superman, as the name suggests, is one of the heroes of the final film in terms of powers and what he intends to achieve. Despite the obvious lack of realism regarding their strengths and abilities, Superman and his alter-ego Clark Kent are based strongly in a believable human being and sympathetic character.
The common man's character allows the audience to identify with them is the perfect movie hero when features Additional or talents that elevate them above the supporting characters. Superheroes are traditionally normal people who become your most powerful character exceptional 'special car.

This Bruce Wayne is very similar to Peter Parker, as shown by Tobey Maguire in the recent Spiderman movies.
Adversity plays a key role in the triumph of a heroic protagonist, as the physical trauma or emotional battle for success. Russell Crowe's Maximus in Gladiator overcomes tremendous physical problems as well as the murders of his wife and son before eventually gaining revenge for an antagonist of the film. Although located In ancient Rome, the common man's character induces a tremendous amount of public sympathy for the struggle of the character.
A great hero of the film is someone that fights their problems, not only physically, despite the adversities maintains the dignity and pride of the whole struggle. One of the heroes of the film has proved more popular than these qualities include To Kill A Mocking Bird Atticus Finch who, despite social disapproval, defends a black man accused of rape. Finch is totally impartial in the case and represents the conscience and good character of the human race, in contrast to the trial and discriminate members of the city.
A role in the film is to represent the audience on the screen and act in a way that represents the emotion and feelings that viewers are experiencing. If this is achieved, then the hero will succeed if they possess superpowers, moral weakness or just a common man. To make the final film's hero, the story will develop empathy for the audience while maintaining the position as a hero figure of unattainable and enviable power.
